Photographer’s Note

In fact the place is called Silent Valley, but because around this time of the year it's only starting to get green, I've called it a rusty one. Also because the colours you can see there are rust-like.

While other TE members held their TE meeting in Venice, I was having my mini-TE meeting with 'mkamionka' in Northern Ireland, where we've dicovered this beautiful reservoir.

The Silent Valley Reservoir was built to gather water from the Mourne Mountains (Northern Ireland) and is the main water supply source for most of County Down and a large part of Belfast.

Ringed by mountains, 'The Valley', located within the Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has become an important visitor attraction in Northern Ireland. It attracts around 50,000 visitors per year most of whom come to enjoy the peace and solitude of this mountain area with its unique landscapes and varied wildlife.

What you can also see in the Silent Valley Park is an impressive MourneWall surrounding the Mourne
catchment. It is 22 miles long and connects the summits of 15 mountains. The dams are ringed by mountains while the reservoir grounds contain parkland, lakes and ponds.

The photo presents a part of the dams and the view on one of the mountains.

Overall the Silent Valley is a lovely place for nice walk in the heart of nature.
