Photographer’s Note
This tall girl, about whom I was explaining a bit the behaviour etc. in the previous post (very extraverted, behaving like a star among her group of friends, declaring loud and clear that she was a homosexual) was not hesitating to take provocative poses as a sort of joke (probably stimulated by them and eager to get glamorous photos by post).
Anyway, it was just an innocent game. As I'm not in the business of fashion photography, I'll probably never have again the occasion to find such a model, specially ready to pose in front of such a wall ! ... As if she had done this all her life and was born for this job, she switched of position comfortably and regularly, constantly reinventing herself - I guess that she had played this sort of game very often in front of a large mirror... Unfortunately the night was falling and there was not much light left.
............
It's maybe a mistake to post these 2 photos side by side but I could not make up my mind. The thing is, since I've moved to flickr, most of the photos that I watch there are in B/W and as much as I found difficult to appreciate a photo that did not have colours some months ago (even started a discussion about this !), now the reverse is happening to my greatest surprise... And I really don't know where I'm heading next, the only thing certain is that I enjoy immensely taking photos, even more meeting people in such situations when I travel.

Hi Catherine,
I'm not sure about the rules, but presenting two photographs as one has indeed helped. I like this presentation better, and your photograph(s) is(are) really good, the contrast of two different expressions in a single frame is what I like most. The background texture and of-course the girl is also very attractive.
Thanks for sharing. Very well done.

Sayantan Mukherjee

Bonsoir, Catherine.

Hi Catherine!
It`s interesting to see the contrast between a clored image and a very simillar B&W one.I like both and this cillage is great.I like at both images her provocative pose and the lolli.both are technical great and could be a cover of a fashion magazine.

Hi Catherine,
These actually do look like fashion photos. They look like a model's composite card, actually. She's going to be thrilled to get these back.
The light may have been fading, but again, it was just right.

Great idea to post them both together.
Both of them looks great with their professional poses.
Can't decide myself which one is a winner :)) Maybe wrong approach - you are the winner ;))

Superbe!
Bravo!

Hello Catherine,
A very remarkable girl, a kind of Lolita. The rundown background seems carefully chosen for a fashion-shot. I can understand your hesitation about which picture to post.
Kind regards,

Directement dans mon coffre à bijoux, Cath ! Enthousiasmant. Claire a bien raison. Tu es une photographe. De grand talent. Regard, coeur, appareil photo alignés.
Voilà, je n'accepterai pas de contradiction. ;-)
Amitiés

selam cath,

Hello Catherine..i have been watching your world from afar....and now that i am back on TE and saying hello to old friends..i can drop a comment on one of my fav story-teller..
Its sad you have moved to flickr...may i ask why..i dont mean to intrude..if i may...
If you can get a subject to react in a way that you have..there is surely a deep connection..that is so rightly exhibited in all your shots..this one special too..
You have more fans on TE..just read the notes..
Cheers

Hello Cath,
As much as I like the B&W version, i think that the colour one is better.
In the B&W one the girl merges with the back ground too much, the colour one shown the wonderful colour and texture of the wall and the vivid red of the lollipop.
All the best

Pretty amazing how you're able to turn a photo-journalistic approuch into trashy fashion photography:) It's highly unusual and effective in this case. Congratulations Catherine

Hi Cath . . . . :

Hello Cath,
Loved them both. They both serve different expectations of a photograph viewer. Congratulations for your fashion photography POV, although with modesty you deny it.

Bonsoir Catherine,

Enhorabuena.
Y esta me la guardo.
Saludos.
