Photographer’s Note
Just another shot from the southwest collection. I was stuck by the very different shapes of the formations here. The whole area was bathed in beautiful sunset light.

Hi Michael:
This is stunning--love the vantage point. This was shot with a wide angle? The lack of depth in the picture makes it seem like a telephoto. I really like the perspective. Wonderful shot.

Hello, Michael -
A haunting shot, which captures a fading sunset light very well. Rather different from the standard stark lighting in the SW.
I notice you didn't put a month on it; do you remember when it was taken? I ask in part because I'm going to be in Bryce overnight at the end of September, and I want to look for scenes like this.
Clark's right, of course - it is a telephoto shot. You can see the foreshortening. Which is fine; telephoto is often a great way to do a different kind of landscape shot.
Regards,
Dan

Hi Michael,
Amazing natural geological feature, good pov in vertical format to show it stretching so far into the depth, lighting and mist add extra effect to the scene, distinct image, well done.

Bonjour Michael,
Regards.
Daniel.
