Photographer’s Note
We stay in Jojawar, a very small, busy Rajasthani town where so much happens "on the street". I choose this image as in my opinion, reflects the atmosphere and spirit of the town. So much happens in a small space.
The title is from one of my all time favourite songs.

Hello elaine,
A fine scene from daily life in India; well composed with the square of the tuk tuk and the colourful line of heads.

Hello Elaine.
Marvellous well timed capture! Even these very thin men are packed in like sardines in a can. I like the cow on the side and the slightly blurry figure on the left, not stealing the limelight from these colourful men. A very good daily life shot, well cropped and sharp.

Andrew

Fine doze of exotics. I wonder about to crop woman on the left, but I'm not quite sure...

Hi Elaine,
Excellent shot, I love the cow sticking its head in. The blurred woman on the left is interesting, but I feel it distracts from the real topic of your shot and I think I'd crop her out, maybe opting for a square format. The expression on the man on the left is another favourite part in the shot.
(I'll add this to the songs and images theme, which collects shots with song titles.)

hi Elaine,
great street shot, you were here at the good moment to catch this scene. It's a fun pic, having a comic side, even if squeezing at the back of a van to travel is not fun. And this cow walking on the foreground without having a look at the guys on the van. The woman behind complete the scene. it's well composed.
We really feel the street mood here.

Hi Elaine,
This is so great!I love it. It is so Rajasthan with their colourd turbans and moustaches. I like the way they are sitting cramped into the back of the van and that cow licking its lips on the forground is there at just the perfect moment. The image seems to flow from the cow to the men to the lady in the background with her sari almost matching some of the colours on the turbans.

Elaine,
Fantastic shot, I absolutely love it, such a perfect moment, the essence of daily life in India is writen all over this image. No one can depict or describe it in words better than this. The facial expression of this men show us this is not exactly the place they wanted to be. The cow is a perfect addition to this already interesting shot. Really excellent moment.

Hello Elaine,
Splendid framing! Rajasthani spirit is perfectly condensed in this frame, people crowded, an attractive lady, and even a cow slavering. This is a truly great shot.

Elaine: I don't know where you're at or what you're doing - but this is one classic image. Can you stay "india' in one picture - maybe this one... ATB, c

Elaine,
Congratulations for this fine image. I find it remarkable how you've managed to get so many elements in the frame, all so typicaly Indian. The cow's tongue is just that perfect and funny icing on the cake. I really LOVE IT!!
All the best

Great, tight, busy compo balanced somehow by the presence of that cow coming into the frame. Man, that's got to be India, and I've never been...

Dear Elaine
A picture which typifies Rajasthan & maybe India as well. The turbans are so typical Rajasthan! The tightly packed men in the back of the Tata Safari (I guess)...but what's fantastic is the cow, just getting into the picture as you clicked. Brilliant!

So much going on here Elaine!! I wished the crop was not so tight and that the woman on the left was fully included. She seems to me like an important character in the story here. All those men, ebing a bit lunatic, looking far away in their thoughts, potentially thinking about their wives/lover...that's where that woman is so important (for me) in the story.
the rest of the framing is excellent though (i'd still like to see that cropped foot at the bottom! I'm picky I know). it's packed with action and info.
love the colors, the focus, softness of the finish. REally really good!!
take care,
Marc

Hello Elaine
A briiliant photo perfectly timed with the cow and his tongue just about to pass through the scene. The square format works well and the woman in sari ensures it is seen in context of a street scene. Tfs, Marlene

Hello Elaine,
Don't know how I could overlook this beautiful picture. This time you have captured a lot of the essence of India in one photo. The cramped conditions of all public transport, most elderly men's large moustaches, colourful clothes and an ever-present cow calmly walking across the street.
Just perfect.

Hi Elaine!
I saw this one earlier, but forgot to leave a comment. What can I say....this one is classic in every sense. Humorous, yet very typical and lovely. Technically perfect. And of course the cow had to be included just for good measure. Great work, cheers,
Steve
