Photographer’s Note

This is photo taken from my trip to Dubare Elephant Camp at Coorg. This camp situated along the bank of river Cauvery is mainly for capturing and training wild elephants by the forest department.
One of the special features of the camp is elephant show (bathing, feeding and training) for tourists.

The photo was taken during elephant bathing by a mahout. Usually, a mahout starts as a boy in the 'family business' when he is assigned an elephant early in its life and they would be attached to each other throughout the elephant's life.
