Photographer’s Note
Auschwitz Birkenau was the largest German extermination camp during the time of the national socialism, between 1940 and 27.01.1945. I have decided in addition to drive, because me has always world history fascinated.
In 1947, in remembrance of the victims, Poland founded a museum at the site of the Auschwitz concentration camp. By 1994, some 22 million visitors — 700,000 annually—had passed through the iron gate crowned with the motto "Arbeit macht frei". The anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops on January 27, 1945 is celebrated on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Holocaust Memorial Day in the United Kingdom, and other similar memorial days in various countries.

An important document, Adrian, aptly in B&W, a good POV to catch these infamous fences in diagonal... a good day to include the sign close to the viewer... I wasn't aware that these signs are still kept there... well done, Daniel

Guten Tag Adrian
A sobering experience, I'm sure! This must never happen again. The stark b&w treatment suits the sombre subject, well. Excellent sharpness & perspective. Tfs!

Hi, Adrian!
Nice shoot. Successful transfer in the b/w. Good composition. The awful place, and such always remains in the history.
Greetings from Kenigsberg.
Tfs, Fil.

Hi Adrian
you are right: never forget!
Good POV and framing, but you shot is too grey, you do not have pure white and black.
The B&W is well adapted to the message you want to pass
regards

Regards.
Daniel.
