Photographer’s Note

Novospassky (New Saviour) Monastery was founded in the XIII century by the Prince of Moscow Daniil.
In 1330 another Prince, Ivan II removed it (as it was wooden) on another place. In 1491 Ivan III finally found good place for the monastery, and put it on the shore of Moskva River, where it stands until now.
Oldest survived building dates back to the year 1491, it's the Tranfiguration Cathedral (five domes in the middle, rebuilt in 1645).
Towers and the walls are from the 1640-s, and bell-tower made in Baroque style in XVIII century.
