Hi Ken,

I love the old touch here, a timeless picture. The grain is nice, the b&W as well. Excellent use of the street poles to lead the eyes and the lady is well placed on the compo. The winter mood of a Parisian street is there.

Hello Ken,
Very good b&W capture; almost with the taste of an oldtimer ! Coud be easily an Atget or Brassai work as well !
Slightly grainy structure creates a perfect graphism.

A very Parisian shot, Ken, that's for sure with a nice contrasty BW treatment - echoes of that Giacometti portrait by HCB in the rain. You might have waited a bit longer for the fellow to grow bigger in the frame.
But then again, maybe not...

Hello Ken -

A dark mood? The weather, the cold, the lack of people I guess these can turn your mood even in Paris. I do like your conversion to B&W as it draws your attention away from the limitations of the color image and deepens the sense of the climatic conditions. I do feel wet and cold viewing this image. This is a well conceived image.
