Hi friends in TE,
A walk along the Kuching waterfront is pleasurable, be it during the morning, afternoon, evening or at night. This shot was taken during hot afternoon walk taken with my 35mm film camera.
Thanks for viewing and have a great weekend.

Hello Jusni, When I first looked at this, I immediately thought Kuching, I'm not sure that I have seen captured from this POV before, but I recognized it, thanks to Alfred & Bill. Nice bit of work with your film camera, I haven't used mine for years, I was starting to think it was a museum piece :-), but after seeing this I have changed my mind. A good quality image with the colour of the water being the main point of interest for me. They say that our main River in Melbourne the Yarra runs upside down because it often has a muddy colour, this one looks very similar, with those lovely reflections it looks even better. Taken from a good POV, I also like the colour & clarity.
Thanks, Hope you also have a good weekend

It's really a interesting and beautiful composition. The colour of the water seems our Poty river in this time. TFS

Marvelous view of this water frontage. With excellent architecture, reflections and clarity. Wonderful contrast of colors, also.
Congratulatons, very nicely done.

The picture is good, with very good sharpness, correct exposure, well chosen pov, simple but effective composition, natural colors!
I like it specially because it really presents me to that city waterfront... maybe I'll never go there (who knows??!!!), but I can, thru your picture, visit it! TFS - Congratulations!

I think you must have gone down to the bottom of that ramp and shot this nice POV from the floating pontoon, with near complete reflection of Hilton and other buildings. I believe your posting is the first to show the new Novotel Hotel still under construction. The building to the far left is an ugly highrise building to me, it was built following the demolition of what was called Ang Cheng Ho Building which is the only building demolished by controlled explosive in Kuching until today.
I am not sure if the brownish water is due to your expired film as you told us, or it was as we see here. But the effect is nice and pleasing.
Thanks for posting your view of Kuching.

Who was the crazy guy with 35mm film walking along the waterfront in hot sun? A visitor from Kodiang?
Very good composition to frame all you wish to see in this shot, particularly with a fixed lens near the constraint space that you would be facing at the water edge.
The sensitivity of film is surprisingly good here to show the color tone of the water so strongly. I can see the high resolution of this 50mm lens. Great work for presenting and promoting Kuching the catcity.

Lovely picture with the Hiliton hotel middle of the picture.
Nice reflections together with the boat to the right, sharpness and clarity are superb.
Composition and colours are very well. TFS.
Have a nice sinday,

for me, the colour of the water looks incredible! But I know that it is real, and I know how it can be...
I like the reflection in the water and the composition :)
