Photographer’s Note
Tiantan, or Temple of Heaven, is a tourist attraction located in the South of Beijing. If you still remember about the recent Olympic Games, you certainly may have an image of this temple.
The Temple of Heaven was built during the 15th century in China, around the same time as the Forbidden City, during the Ming Dynasty. On this temple, the emperor would come once per year to pray for good harvests: if the harvests were good, that meant the gods favoured the emperor and the empire; if, on the other hand, they were bad, that meant the gods took the blessing from the emperor and the ruling house. That could mean rebellions and in the worst case a revolution.

Hi Ricardo, you've caught a great light here. I also like the low perspective, but I think you might have exploited the interesting transition between light and shadow by getting closer to the tower.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Ricardo,
Good shot, hasn't got that much attention so far, probably because it is a very, very classic view of a really well-known monument. But, yes, it's a good shot!
Enjoy Beijing!
Benny
