There REALLY needs to be a "Religious" category on TE!
Detail of a Japanese Shinto shrine at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto. Fushimi Inari is famous for its tunnels of torii (shrine gateways), and there's a whole torii theme going on there - the small shrines are piled with mini toriis inscribed with wishes and prayers (I guess - I can't actually read them).
