Photographer’s Note
This is the view looking down the stairwell on Lonsdale Quay tower. Far off in the distance you can see the city of Vancouver and along the shoreline walkway the tugboats are moored in.
The lead in lines in red caught my attention and gave me reason to share with you. My other previous postings are from the same location. Hope you like the view.

Hello Paul,
I like all the red railings in this photo, the lines and curves are fantastic. The framing created by the railings is excellent and gives a lot of depth. There is a view towards the tugboats and Vancouver in the distance. Great POV with wonderul light, colours and details. Great work!

Hello Paul,
The brilliant red lines created by the banister, and the rest of the structure of the quay tower takes one's eyes straight to the tugboats and the deep blue of the water. Good choice of vantage point. Warm regards, Paul,

Hello Paul,
You found an original point of view to make this combination of structural details and landscape.
An eye-catcher with the red colours and the stair leading to the tugboats.

Hi Paul
Great DOF but that's to be expected with that 10-22mm lens. A very graphic shot with lots of parallel lines and curves with additional emphasis from the red colour.

Hi Paul,
The railings with all their architectural angles in the foreground and left side along with the stairs help frame the boats drawing you down into them. Vancouver shoreline in the background draws the eye back up out of the water. The red contrasts so well with the blue and makes the red on the boats pop. Excellent lighting and composition. Another one of your good shots. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Paul,
An unusual yet very creative perspective. The red steelwork provides perfect framing for the tugs and the distant shoreline. Very well done and TFS. Gerald

Hello Paul,
The composition is very good. The stairs lead us down to the quay and the boats and in the distance we see the city. The vivid reds contrasts well with the blue water and the sky.
Best regards, Paul

I REALLY like this shot Paul. The POV is excellent and well rendered with the super wide angle. I really like that the horizon is perfectly level- not easy to do with the distortion that often comes with wide angles. The red is bright and bold and in nice contrast to the cool blues of Vancouver Harbour.
Lonsdale Quay is a great type of place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon having a bite to eat and checking our the market- makes me homesick.
Nice one Paul,
- Dan
