Photographer’s Note

I find the river Main perfect for rowing with relatively clean water conditions (quality grade II, moderately polluted) and not much water traffic going on. Occassional ships challenge the rowers and bring some fun. This was probably a beginner quad sculls rowing on a beautiful sunny saturday afternoon. Behind you can see the new gothic style "Eisernersteg" (a pedestrian bridge from 1868, verbatim irony pedestrian bridge) and "Frankfurter Dom" (the cathedral from 1423). Sporty, natural and at the same time historical aspects for the viewers.
