Photographer’s Note
This medieval fortress made way for a royal residence during the reigns of King Charles VIII and François I. The court and numerous men and women of letters and arts stayed at Amboise on the Kings invitation. Also did Leonardo Da Vinci, whose tomb is placed in the chapel.
