This picture was taken mid day in New Ålesund, Svalbard. At this time of the year there is no direct sunlight on the city but sunlight is visible on the mountains on the opposite side of the fjord, Kongsfjorden. Image is cropped top and bottom.

Excellent composition, colour and mood. I agree with gustav, it would be good to know a little about the photo. You can still edit the note after the photo has been uploaded!

nice shot.I like the sunlight on the mountain it sets the mood. am thinking of cropping a little on the top for better panoramic view. welcome to TE

I was in Svalbard in august 2004 too. We spent one night at anchor between Blomstrand Island and Blomstrandbreen.
