Photographer’s Note
18/19 A sea of flowers
Thanks to a TE member to I discovered these amazing landscapes of northern Japan, in the island of Hokkaido. When I was planning my trip to Japan my first intention was to visit the "typical" places (i.e. Tokyo, Kyoto, Miyajima,...) but when I saw the beautiful pictures of Akita i knew which should be the final target in my trip to Japan.
Thanks Akita for sharing your pictures to TE members and for giving us ideas, inspiration ,desires and good intentions! Your country is all beautiful, but the island of Hokkaido is a hidden and beautiful treasure that many people don't visit and it's a pity. But at the same time maybe this is good because the day all the crowds decide to visit this part of Japan maybe it'll lose part of its magical solitude.
By the way, this is a flower farm close to Furano and Biei.

Hello Ricard
The rows of colourful flowering plants are creating a beautiful composition. Interesting diagonal lines with dark sky beyond. Very nice and tfs, Marlene

Hello Ricard,
Nice composition for the flowers. The row of different colours of flowers make this photo good. Green hill at the back fitted nicely in this photo. Well done.
