Ciucas Mountains are part of The Carpathian mountains and they have two main ridges. One is Gropsoarele Zaganu ridge and the other one is Bratocea ridge. You can reach the both mountains from Cheia in Prahova county. Here are the majority of the hotels and chalets. You can reach the resort by car on the national road DN1A. Your next destination should be Red Mountain Chalet(Muntele Rosu). From here you can choose to reach the Ciucas peak or to follow the marked trail on Gropsoarele ridge. The highest point is Ciucas peak with 1954m. Hikers can find relaxing paths with beautiful views.
