Photographer’s Note

Sorry for the french title, but it's a play of words.
Cock-a-doodle-do in french is Cocorico... "Coque" which means hull is an homonymous of "Coq" (cock). The pronunciation is the same, so I did this pun.
Difficult to explain, sorry if you don't grasp the meaning.

The "bisquine" is a typical boat of the region. This type of boats is used in dredging oysters in the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, trawling, and for larger fishing lines. The bisquine had completely disappeared, but passionate people have begun to bring them to life again, in Cancale and Granville.

In 1984, a team founded an association : the ABC which aims to make navigating the most prestigious french traditional fishing boat, in an educational and associative way..
After a busy 2008 season, the Cancalaise, its nickname, took up his winter quarters. Every Thursday and Saturday, the members ensure maintenance work for the next season.
