Photographer’s Note
They say we wont play cricket no more....the internationalists...
they say its your nationality...that is the problem!
...they say even if you come out of your country...we wont play...we want to punish you for what you didn't do...and we wont play no more...
Six of you died...thats not enough
..and since that is not enough! we wont play
-------------------------------------------------------
Dedicated to the families and friends of the police officers who died in the attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore on 2/3/09. Their deaths didnt seem enough for the Media pundits of the world to whom these lives were of no importance as 'not ebough' was done. I am not sure how many lives should have been lost to earn any importance in our politically correct world.
To the ones who died...I salute you;

Assalamalaikum kamran bhai, another soft and finely nuanced image with great tones and textures. I like the mood and the way you have composed this one. great yet again. I like the note and the title. I am with you.

Hi Kamran, to be honest, without the note this image wouldn't be my cup of tea, children are not my favourite. However, when the suggestion was made that the Pakistani security didn't do enough I did wonder how it could be that losing six lives protecting a bunch of people who were only there to play a game, could be not enough. For me, the note makes the image. Looks like you applied some vignette in the PP, perhaps just a bit too obvious? Cheers, Steve

Hello Kamran,
You have an excellent note and photo which are both powerful in evoking an emotion. I think there are deep thought behind many of your shots and that is very unique. Well done, Kamran. Hope to see you and the rest in Melbourne, soon.
Cheers

Hi Kamran, this is a beautiful shot, with - as usual - a poignant and heartfelt message. The B&W choice was an excellent one and I like how the little boys are looking away from the camera. I wonder what would have been done if those poor people who were murdered were Aussies or Poms?? Those who sacrificed their lives would be international martyrs! TFS, Lisa.

Hi Karman
Nice B&W shot here. Children are a great subject for photography, as you have shown so many times before.
Well done
TFS
