This beautiful old plant, built in the 19th century and operated as a Colgate Palmolive plant, was closed in January 2008, leaving 500 employees out of work. It's huge sign, seen all over the area, is now just a sign of the times. The building is too beautiful not to photograph, and there's plenty of room in the empty parking lot.

This could be an excellent commentary on the times and a great image, as well, but it is so small that I cannot tell how well it was shot, exposure, etc. Your camera has a five megapixel resolution, you should save to 800 x 600 (you can post an image 800 x 800 here) to give the maximum effect to folks. Most people are here to critique and be critiqued, so you have to expose yourself, your work, to the world to that end.
Again, I think this could have been a powerful commentary, given the proper treatment. Let me know if you want some help on how to do these things - I know not everyone has the technical know-how and experience to give this site an opportunity to make you a better photographer.
