That is one wild sea you got here! I mean at 1/5th and so wild and at the same time frozen. Interesting!

Your photos have a surreal (or maybe I should say hyper-real) quality. Great drama with movement in all directions. A wide-open window to a turbulent universe.

Hello Gary,

I love the dramatic colors and contrasts in this shot. The life preserver serves as a powerful focal point, while creating a color highlight (in the manner of the chop mark on a Chinese painting), and at the same time suggesting how futile a small life preserver would be against the fury of this sea.
