Photographer’s Note
Angkor Wat is a photographer's dream. I've looked over numerous beautiful photos of Angkor on this site and wish I had some that could compare to the beauty of them.
My wife and I went for the sunrise and while I took photos of it she wandered into the temple itself and loved experiencing it without any others around. So the next morning I joined her and we went into Angkor while the sun rose and everyone snapped their photos of the sun rising behind Angkor Wat. It was probably my favourite hour in Cambodia and this photo I snapped in the early morning light reminds me of it.
I highly recommend a 2nd sunrise visit to experience to true beauty of Angkor while everyone else is outside taking photos of the sunrise.
