Photographer’s Note

One of reindeers, raised on reindeer farm in
Jukkasjärvi, village famous around the world for its famous Ice Hotel. For Saami people (more often called Lapons), minority living in northern part of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia, reindeer keeping is traditional profession, deeply rooted in culture and still popular. The small farm in Jukkasjärvi is, next to the Ice Hotel, popular showplace.

Damian this shot is a very wonderful perspective in wide format. It was good for you to get down low near his head like this. Great shot!

Hello Damian,

Interesting perspective and great use of wide angle to get this fella into view. Nice background with the sunset (sunrise?) or could it just be the angle of the sun so far north. I do wish for a little more detail in the face of the reindeer, though.
