Grand Canyon at sunrise. Shot 3 exposures and combined in photoshop into HDR. Its true - photos cannot do the Grand Canyon justice.

Hi Courtenay, this is simply amazing! This is really something I can say a true accomplishment. The expanded tonal range brings out the small details of the interchanging layers of the formation suggesting the procedure's usefulness in geologic applications. I would love to see the actual format of this. Thanks for sharing...Alex

Hi Courtenay:
No, photos don't do it justice, but this one makes a good effort of it. You've captured a bit of the grandeur of the canyon with that sheer drop from the cliff at right to the canyon floor. I really like the soft light and colors here. Beautiful shot.

Reminds me of the many happy days I spent hiking the Canyon and rafting the Colorado - put a smile on my face thinking about it - -

Hi Courtenay,
Stunning composite. I found it very difficult to get a wide dynamic range in single photos from here without using multiple layers. You've done a great job here and the scene appears natural. I can see that characteristic contrast and sharpness of the 17-40 lens shown here too.
