Photographer’s Note

This is a sluice sited in Quai des Moulins - Strasbourg. This town has a sequence of sluices to make boats reach the levels of water with different height and also to regulate the water flow in the several canals that cross Strasbourg.
I chose the B&W to underline (in my opinion) the elegange of the scene brought by the row of lamps and by the haze in the background. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Convert this scene to B&W is an excellent choice to give a very special mood to your shot.
There is some interesting strong contrast, it's well done.
The composition is well thought with the lines of street-lamps to create a long perspective and the bridge in the background.
A pleasant image. Strasbourg is rarely presented in this way.

Interessante questo B/N! Mi piace il controluce sulle figure e sull'acqua.
Ottima la definizione in tutto il quadro, belli gli incroci di linee verticali( i lampioni) ed orizzontali(balaustre e pontile). Sei pure riuscito a beccare due gabbiani!
