Photographer’s Note

Esfahan: The Sio Seh Pol (bridge of 33 arches) was built in 1602 by the architect Allaverdi Khan. It is closed to traffic and has little teahouses in the piers. It gets very busy here after the sunset. Esfahanis walk across the bridge and do promenade along this part of the river. Many people can be heard singing or palying some sort of muscial instrument, e.g., flute etc.- a place that is not missed by a foreign tourist.
