Photographer’s Note
A view down the river Tyne, taken from the smaller Swingbridge which is just below the tyne bridge. The Baltic Arts Centre and the Millenium are the key features in this area and were one of the main focus's for the Newcastle/Gateshead City of Culture Bid. The colours in this area at night are fantastic and the reflections on the water are stunning.

Very colorful indeed Nick!! The arch works wonders on the composition and the reflections are amazingly beautiful. I suppose those faint vertical light columns on the arch are cables attached to the bridge rite .. I was wondering why only the tops are lighted .. is that normal?

The blue and green reflections in this image give it a very special character. I did not realize Newcastle-upon-Tyne was so colourful. ;-)
I was just wondering if it would have been possible to take the same picture from the center of the Swingbridge. That way the two river banks would have neatly framed the photo at each side.
