Photographer’s Note
yeah, llamadise... in other words: llama paradise. not far from salar de surire reachable from putre by this king of roads.
this shot actually is begging to be blown much bigger in size. in the TE format: llamas just stay as small white spots filling the green valley. the green 'stuff'? it's actually not grass, but rather some moss like high-altitude growth. llamas love it... the yellow 'stuff'? the same moss, just different color...
altitude (between 3,500 and 4,500 meters) is about the same in today's post and all of these:
-- volcan parinacota
-- isluga
-- the king of the roads
the area is also the same, but the views: totally different... as i mentioned earlier: every turn of the road opens a completely different world.

LOL for llamadise, a clever one kris... reminds me of "lost in translation" somehow, may be because it was the oscar nite>:P... looks like paradise for sure, especially when compared to the dull, gray, cold and snowy istanbul...

Hi Kris,
Real eye catching shot, colours are great - like you say would be good to see it blown up - great sense of scale.

Hi Kristaps
Nice colors and light. Maybe the snow mix with the clouds, so that the mountain is not well define...
Anyway nice job

Hi, Kristaps.
Stunning festival of colors : the high elevation tundra under THAT light sure is a looker! Don't much understand the lack of attention, it deserves far more than what's got so far. What a view! Have a great day, see ya soon.

Hello Kristaps,
Amazing color spectrum from green to bald and snowy ridges. Different tones of brownish fields and green-yellow textures are just fantastic under cloudy sky. Did you try this or similar scenes with wide angle? Your earlier post one for the road... is also another great photo. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.
Friendly Regards,

Hi Kristaps
The light is wonderful, the strong contrasts between the green valley and the arid and snowy mountains, give a dramatic mood to the shot, not to forget the dynamic sky. The POV is very well chosen, to offer the maximum of the panorama... Congratulations!

Amicalement,
Emilius

Hi Kristaps,
This photo is worth seeing on the wider size enlarged to see the magnificence in this place and llama. Blue of the sky shows yellow more beautifully. I like this high saturated color and contrast.

I keep mis-pronouncing the title and saying "la la land", there's something psychodelic in the colours and shimmering light. I like a lot how the mountains seem to flow from all sides towards the valley, and the combination of green and yellow creates an impression that everything is coated with gold, quite a contrast with the cool tones of the volcanoe looming in the background. nice :)

K.

I have never been to llamadise but I grew up with a picture that our grandmother gave us from llamas and highlands like you show it and many stories from her that went along. She liked to exaggerate in many ways so llamadise suits her ... and me. I hope the painting had no bad influcence on me :))) LOL. This is lovely up here, what a wonderful picture again, what a journey you two take us a long, it may continue! The clouds, again, they make us daydream, we float along. Very very nice, I like it a lot. Happy day for you ... greetings from greyland ... the blue has gone away. I wonder what comes next, snow maybe ... HELP. Barbara.

Hi Kristaps:
hahaha...llamadise. I like it. The rolling landscape here and the llamas in the distance give a sense of the vastness of the scene. Add that bit of green for some color, and you have a beautiful pastoral scene, in el Norte Grande no less. Who'd have thought? Great job.

Hi Kristaps,
that field has such nice vibrating colors. I like that as you can see in my gallery. It's trully a postcard. The exposure was well controlled (we see the details even in the white clouds). Powerful shot, my friend!

Hi Kristaps,
Wow, the light on this one is amazing. Teh contrast between that, and the shadows that the clouds make are great.
Do you and Kristine compete to see who gets to post the image:-)

Bonjour Kristaps,
j'aime beaucoup ces couleurs fraiches de la prairie, les jeux de lumières provoqués par ces nuages qui se déplacent dans le ciel. C'st encore plus beau à voir en live en 3D.
Un ciel un peu surexposé il me semble.
Bets regards.
Daniel.

Hi Kristaps,
The colors are wonderful and as always, the sharpness is superb. I love the way the volcano presides over this high mossy vale and the way the snow melds into the clouds. You're right, the llamas would be great in a large post and there is no way to crop this to a pano format. What a great trip!
