Photographer’s Note

This photograph represents the foundry of a Gamelan factory , traditional indonesian metal percussion instrument.Centring is not very good, but I missed retreat. Moreover the picture one was taken by a show of hands in slow pause, therefore a little fuzzy in spite of the flash.

Yes, it’s a pity that the man at the right became blurred in the face. Except for that I find this image well composed. I do like the crop of the man in the right which places him in the scene but no in a too strong position. This way it creates a primary focusing point but also let us room to explore the background which is great. The flash is also good as it doesn’t spoil the image. Magnificent effect on the fire.
