Photographer’s Note

This photo needed an early start, and i was driving through thick fog on the way to the location, but as i got closer i noticed the fog was starting to change to a pink colour!
I then drove part of the way up the hill and ended up being above the thickest of the fog.
I decided to use this tree in my final composition, but then i realised that there was a cresent moon low down to the south, so i got as far away from the tree as i could so i could use 70mm of focal length to allow the moon to look larger.

I used an ND8 Graduated filter
