Photographer’s Note
This photo needed an early start, and i was driving through thick fog on the way to the location, but as i got closer i noticed the fog was starting to change to a pink colour!
I then drove part of the way up the hill and ended up being above the thickest of the fog.
I decided to use this tree in my final composition, but then i realised that there was a cresent moon low down to the south, so i got as far away from the tree as i could so i could use 70mm of focal length to allow the moon to look larger.
I used an ND8 Graduated filter

Hello Jamie,
This is utterly beautiful.
Pink mist is a twist of nature and has made your shot quite romantic.
I love how you have positioned the tree, slightly off-centre with its arms extended. The soft colours in the sky and the moon, add to the overall effect.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jamie,
You have a wonderful gallery full of poetry,
Many of your pics are masterpieces. I mean it! Lovely colors, beautiful lanscape. A tribute to mother nature ;)
I particularly like the pinkish tone of that one.
Good centered composition. It shows that the rule of third can be broke without any issue.
And last but not least: Great bananamoon! which makes the pic standing out.
All the best,
Pris.

Hi Jamie!
That's simply wonderful! Yes, not many elements to compose with in here, however, yes, you achieved such a masterpiece full of colors and mood! What an atmosphere!!! The lonely tree and the moon! The fields, the hills and the fog! Wow! The best moment captured in here! I really loved it!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
