Photographer’s Note
Esfahan: The famous Naqsh-e-Jahan Square of Esfahan - a view from the rooftop of the northern arcades where mainly the foreign tourists take their late afternoon tea break - black tea with Safran is served. A very nice place to relax and view the square as well as the busy crowd.
The Imam Mosque in the centre can be seen from here, along with the Ali Qaapoo Palace to the right (western arcade) and the beautiful Lutfullah Mosque to the left (eastern arcade). Those three historical monuments that I have just mentioned along with the square make the main touristic attraction of Esfahan - of course there are other beautiful places as well, e.g., the bridges of si-o-sey and Khaju etc.
The photo isn't very sharp, due partly to less light.
