Photographer’s Note

This is a shot of the Myrtos sea, in Kefalinia, after a little sea storm. The water was like a liquid tempera, with so much nuances of blue that my eyes wasn't ever tired of looking at the colors I was seeing.
Hope you like too.

Many people told me there was a little bit of over-contrast, so I found the original RAW and tried to export it from Picasa with a little less contrast... hope it was well done (and i hope to have some better PP-program, when I'll get my new notebook... one fine day!)... see it in the Workshop

approfitto della vicinanza in galleria per ammirare questa tua nuova splendida foto, composta in maniera esemplare con le due fascie (sabbia e cielo perfettamente simmetriche) ad incorniciare lo splendido azzurro del mare. Bella e semplice, brava.

Hi Laura,

You captured some beautiful colours here. I'd love to take a walk on that beach right now...
However, the shot lacks a bit of "dynamic" if you know what I mean. A boat or a person would make it look more lively. There is a small red object (a buoy?) in the water but it's too small to really stand out. Personally I prefer pictures without people in them but here I think it wouldn't have hurt. ;o)
Also, the shot looks a bit oversharpened (especially the sand). Did you add some sharpness to the shot in PP?

Hi Laura,

seen it on the first look.. must be Myrtos, those unbelievable colors and stone-peppled beach, it´s a dream..which will come true one day in my life..
nice capture, only a little bit to much sharpness, but that´s ok, the mood is ingredible..
