Photographer’s Note
Child's Glacier in the Copper River Delta calving. The person in the foreground is my friend and fellow photographer Martin Hughes who was also shooting this event.
I took this at 275mm on a crop sensor (=440mm at full frame) which makes the glacier appear closer to Martin than it really was.

Hi Hauke!
Good composition with the gravel and the photografer in the foreground.Perfect timing and what a splash.Good sharpness in the distance and good, natural blue tones.
I hope I can see scenes like this next year or 2011 in Patagonia. On the other hand I don`t want these glaciers melting.....

Ahoj Hauke, zajímavé místo k fotografování.
Ledovec má super odstín modré barvy. Dobrý detail.

Hello Hauke,
impressive view! Very dynamic BG! the splashes of water remind us of its mightly power, especially when a fragile human being is near (well, not too near, in this case, judging by your Note). Very good idea to include the photographer in the FG! good for comparing... and for a bit of philosophy :)
Best wishes and good luck!
Elena
