A nice scene from daily life, brought in clear colours, despite being taken in the shadow.
Well and plerasantly composed with the two groups separated by the door and two other chatting men.

Merhaba Ertugrul

I just love the view! The same as in our villages where people socialize on a daily basis. A friend of mine, one of the famous phsychiatrists in Athens, once told me that he would probably go out of work if they still had those places down town. People in those caffes use it for "goup therapy" especially after they have a couple of ouzos and maintain their peer identity where everything is discussed and analyzed.
Nice shot for sure with the evident color of everyday life.

Hi Ertugrul, I really like scenes of old countrymen chatting and at play. Ciakgiac in Italy also photographs them beautifully as you do. I don;t think it changes around the world! Nice use of wide-angle and management of light and shade extremes. Best regards, Lisa.

Ertuğrul Bey merhaba, bu fotoğraf ülkemize dair birçok şeyin göstergesi adeta. Batı ülkelerinde psikolojik sorunlar daha yaygın ve insanlar bu sorunlarını aşmak için psikologa gidip profesyonel yardım alıyorlar. Kimi zaman da sonuç alamıyorlar. Bizde, özellikle Anadolu'da kahvehaneler bu rolü sanki daha başarıyla üstleniyor gibi geliyor bana. Derdi, sorunu olan bir kişi, kendisini yıllardır tanıyan arkadaşının "Hele otur bi soluklan, bi çayımızı iç" şeklindeki içten bir sözüyle dertlerinin tamamını olmasa bile belki de çoğunu unutuyor. Buralar dertlerin, sıkıntıların, iç siyasetin, ülke gündeminin konuşulup tartışıldığı yerler adeta.

Olumsuz yönden bakarsak, dikkat ederseniz buradaki insanların çoğu kilolu. Oysa fotoğraf sebzeye ve zeytinyağına dayalı beslenmenin çok yaygın olduğu bir yerde, Milas'ta çekilmiş. Bunun da sebebi gün boyu hareketsizlik olsa gerek. Başka neden bulamıyorum.

We say Ghahvekhane ( Ghahve=coffee , khane=house) in Farsi!..here it seems to be a place for men to gather .. a nice daily life shot with good colors n framing .. it is very well balanced too with interesting details..tfs

A lovely, familiar view. This could also be Sicily, or Greece, or ANYWHERE at all where people still wants to live according to the principles life itself has taught us. Which is something a lot of people tends to forget nowadays (yes, THE ALMIGHTY ECONOMY of THE CHOSEN FEW we ALL got to DEARLY pay for, is coming out of my nose)... i believe that the more friends we get, the merrier. this scene says it as well. i specially like the "natural" mood of these guys in the capture and the old building also reminds me of my days in my last few months with the ministry of health assignment in far north saudi arabia...altho i am not sure if anyone here is enagaging in shisha pipe smoking, i can't trust my vision anymore....:-(. this capture make me think of going back for a visit!

Very nicely captured atmosphere! And quite familiar to me also - although I have never been to that place, I notice that characteristic relaxed ambiance that many associate with Latin countries of Europe but I think it's better described as Mediterranean. Chatting with friends about life, enjoying the relative freshness of the shadow on a hot day of Summer... There are few things more pleasant!
