Photographer’s Note
This park is called Pinecrest Gardens and it is the old site of the Parrot Jungle which was relocated to Biscayne Bay in 2004. Though the the beautiful birds are gone, the park remaind as a botanical santuary and admission is free. It was almost distroyed in 1992 by Hurricane Andrew, but now it is a very peaceful place where you can step away from the business of daily life for a well deserved respit. While walking around you can see remnants of the old Parrot Jungle and at the same time make use of design elements scattered throughout the place.
