Photographer’s Note
Well, this is my first attempt of the famous "Sepia" effect. Hope you will like, I'm not sure that the tone is right, don't hesitate if you have any advise to share :)
I took this shot through the window of the Saloon, midle in Bodie's gohst town. Everything seems to have been let exactly at the same place than a lot of years ago. Impresive !

Hi Thomas,
yours is agood attempt. The feeling is exactly to be in a very old scenery, covered of years of dust, where people is no more living, but everything is still. Also the contrast plays a good role in giving the proper effect. The only advise is that could have been better if an human presence was there, or some other subject to concentrate in, because the pole table seems to be not enough to create strong interest (it is only my opinion).
Good work

Hi Thomas,
I enjoy this sort of photograph as I am a student of antiques and collectible items. I think this ghost town, Bodie, is likely protected from someone like me who might get attached to a small artifact or two...
However, some might find the scene contrived and the use of sepia cliche, as so many tourist photographers utilize similar methods to take so-called "old-fashioned" photographs in commercial tourist traps. Of course, Bodie is not your normal tourist destination and definitely not a trap for the tourist.
Anyway, it's still a nice photograph!
Thank you,
