Photographer’s Note
This is Gordon's Bay, a little bay between Clovelly and Coogee Beaches, along the walk south from Bondi. It was raining at the time, so 90% of the PP'ing was cloning out the rainspots on the filter.
I used an ND4 Grey filter and Neutral Soft 0.9 filter. There was still alot of light as it was about 3pm when I took it, so I did F22. Since doing so i have read that F22 is a no-no and that no more than F16 should ever be used. Is this correct? Can anyone please advise?

Hello Lisa,
Nice composition with the strong foreground and in opposition, the well placed background cap.
Nice rendering also thanks to the long time exposure on the water.

Hi Lisa
I like the soft treatment of the water here and the clarity of the rocks, which all have an individual texture and appearance. A successful shot, F22 worked here.
Well Done

Hi Lisa,
Personnally I like the water smoothing resulting from the long exposure, especially the part in the foreground that looks like a hurricane with the spiral around the eye. There's no problem closing to f/22 if you have good glass, on cheaper glass you would have a phenomenon called diffraction degradating image quality.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Lisa,
Nice composition using the foreground rocks and the swirling water, the mist in the air adds another interesting element.
What were you doing out in this, it was pouring.
With regard to your question, have a look at these guys, they doo brilliant work using long exposures and seaside locations, rgarrigus, signal_womb and lucski, they all shoot 5D's and I'm sure they would pass on the info you want.
Regards
Peter

Hi Lisa,
Good shoot to show a clean corner, lively view at the beach and clear to see wave, vapor and whirlpool, completed with including city at the depth, thanks for sharing.

Hi Lisa, great pic, very clear. Awesome effect with the small whirlpool in the front and the choppy waves in the background. Nice work.

Lisa,
You have been busy since i last looked, a lot of new beautiful pictures.
I don't have the time to react to all of them but i really like the ocean so this one attracted my attention. It is a lovely shot but after reading the other comments i think you know that allready. I think it would have been better without the distracting background and the rock on the right should not have been cut off. You are getting pretty serious about photography with all the filters.
