A view of Tochal ski resort. This is the 5th highest ski resort in the world. Here is some info about it:

Base elevation: 3545m
Top elevation: 3850m
lifts: 2 chairlifts and one drag lift
Ski season: From late October till late June (usually the first day of summer)
Distance from Tehran: 0!! In fact to get to this resort all you need to do is to go to the end of the Velenjak avenue in northern Tehran and ride the Tochal gondola (Telecabin) and you are there.
The nice hotel at the bottom of the resort has 30 rooms and suites for those who want to stay over night.
Tehran is the only capital city in the world where you can do snow skiing, water skiing and grass skiing on the same day in June.
