Photographer’s Note

I took this shot at Murrayfield which is the stadium used by the Scotland rugby team. It was taken before the Scotland - South Africa match that was part of the 2008 autumn test series.

The match was won 14-10 by South Africa. However, it was the best Scotland performance I had seen for a long time.

The shot shows rows of empty seats. This is now a common sight at Murrayfield. The Scottish team has not had many victories and this has lead to poor attendances.

Hi Scott, love the composition, very graphical, excellent colors and especially the texture. I'll second YMRK comment about the file size.

Ciao Scott,
la foto si presenta originale e con tanto grafismo.
La vista parziale della scalinata sulla destra, dà anche un senso di dinamicità.

Unico problema, sono le dimenzioni troppo ridotte. (Photo too small).

Ho realizzato un workshop con la tua foto ingrandita. (Photo more big).

Hello, Scott.

Firstly, I must say that the composition of this picture is absolutely superb! Fabulous strong diagonals and great blocks of colour.

But, secondly, I have to agree with others that it's just too damn small. I see that Francesco has done a workshop for you but I think you could do a better one because you have the original image file. Go back to the original image in PSE6, do your processing as before and then save it with a long side of 800 pixels and a file size approaching 300Kb. I think it'd be brilliant.
