weeping willow Photo

Photographer’s Note

Another day with snow in Belgium. Winter does not seem to stop yet over here.
Here a picture of a weeping willow tree in front of a historic farm just outside the center of Oostkerke. It was rather difficult to find an ideal pov to capture the shot (telephone pole in the way, disturbing shadows,...). I have tried and came up with this. I hope you like it.

Dag Hendrik,
A view you cannot see every winter. And you profited to make a beautiful view, wityh natural colours and of course this fabulous white tree.
I tried to imagine what the photo would look like if you would crop more at the bottom, or both the bottom and the top to make a long view...
But I am not sure if itr woudl be an improvement, it would certainly become a different view.

ce saule pleureur sous le givre est d'une beauté absolu tout de blance vêtu, la couleur du toit contraste bien avec tout ce froid, une photo magnifique hendrik

Le saule givré est une merveille . Les belles maisons aux toits rouges et la rangée d'arbres à droite complètent superbement la composition , dans ce beau ciel bleu . J'aurais bien vu un format plus allongé , également .

T'as vraiment du bien t'amuser ces qq jours ! Encore une tres belle image d'hiver, le grand saule recouvert de givre est tres impressionant et donne de tres belles hautes lumieres, y'a quand meme le toit de la maison pour apporter qq tons chauds !

Incredible beauty of the winter scenery showing bright light, yet still able to have the frozen ice on the trees before it melts and the landscape of flat Netherlands. Add in to this combination - the pale blue sky! Very well captured view.

Superbe cette compo,c'est arbres givrés contrastent bien avec ces toits rouges qui ont l'air de ne pas avoir été touché par ce givre,une photo magnifique tant par les couleurs que par la composotion.

An incredible catch of the frosted trees. They look like cherry blossum, or infrared. The white contrasts well, against the blue sky, & they're superbly exposed, with no oe in the highlights. Tfs!

Dag Hendrik,

Ik moest al goed kijken om de boerderij te herkennen, maar het waren allemaal beelden om van te snoepen.
Hoe ongezond het ook moge wezen, wij als amateur fotograaf hebben ons geamuseerd.
Hier de polders die beschikken oover een natuurgebied waar wij regelmatig overkijken, door de macht der gewoonte.
We leven in een mooi gebied, als ze maar van de vaarten afblijven.
Maar de geleerde heren of dames zien spijtig genoeg maar zoals een mol.
Pachtig werk beste vriend. Bedankt.
