Photographer’s Note
Cannes bay is about 10km long, linking the Pointe Croisette and "Palm beach" district of Cannes to the tiny village of Theoule-sur-mer, which is almost the last one before changing departement from "Les Alpes-Maritimes" to "Le Var".
This is a view of the bay from "La Corniche d'Or" in Theoule-sur-mer heights.
In winter, when going down from the Corniche d'Or, in addition to the beautiful view on Cannes Bay, one can see the South Alpes Mountains all covered by snow. This is a wonderful landscape that I chose to shot at sunset. Unfortunately the effect is not exactly what I expeted as their was some cloud impeding the burning light I was longing for... But if you observe a little bit you will see what I mean with the Mountains being "pink" painted-like.
I found a nice page on wikipedia (in French) for those interested in the "Alpes Maritimes Road"
