Photographer’s Note

There are so many photos of various sunsets on TE that no matter how tempted I was to post at least one or two photos I have refrained from posting them all this time.

Nevertheless today, for a change, I decided to post a photo of a sunset taken one summer evening a few years ago.

Everyone will see something of their own in this scene. It may evoke different feelings, or it may leave you quite indifferent. It depends.... maybe it depends on your mood while you're looking at this sky.

I have tons of photos of different sunsets - all taken at the place where I live. I don't even have to leave the house to take photos: the sky is open - right before my eyes.

sure, I made attention to your note. One more time you are sincere and this is your big quality (than your excellent English and the sens for photographic subject). Me too, I take often the pictures from my window. The fact that my window gives to the Industrial zone is not the problem: each picture is different and has his place in the chronology.

dear Elena,
in this shot, the contrast between the nataral sky and the artificial smoke and buildings is interesting.
the sky shows us its natural depth and width, but the smoke looks unreliable.
also the sky shows us smooth figure and colors, but the buildings are angular silhouette.
this combination of different two qualities is chracteristic in it.
every view of the sunset has each feeling, we only enjoy those.

I think this photo is very difficult to make comment, even though I read your note. My feeling from this photo is "melancholy" otherwise "desolation". Congratulation on your philosophic photo.

- You were not right, to hesitate, the light of this sunset is very nice and almost monochrome colour, it is rather rare for this type of event, bravo, it's successful !
