Photographer’s Note
This is a picture of a small piece of the Berlin Wall, shot at the East Side Gallery in Berlin. The East Side Gallery is an international memorial for freedom. It is a 1.3km long section of the Berlin Wall located near the centre of Berlin on Mühlenstraße in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
The hole in the wall was made by tourists who wanted pieces of the wall as a souvenir.
