Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken on the Inishowen Peninsula, Donegal on the way to Malin Head which is the most northern part of Ireland (and also Northern Ireland).

As usual, I had no tripod so rested the camera on a rock for a 6sec exposure.

Hello Lisa, A very beautiful image, the colours are perfect so is the effect on the water by the slow shutter speed. Did you give cloning out the blurred left hand corner a thought?. Only a thought, an impressive scene, well captured. Looks to me as though you don't need to carry a tripod around, extra weight for nothing ;-),

Ah yes the tripod is a must, still it seems you have a steady hand for the image looks sharp at this TE size but the large version is probably another story. In any case you got the effect of blurring the water well on the left, the rock under light in the distance is also eye catching.

I really like the atmosphere of this picture the long exposure mystifies the ocean.The colours are great. A higher point of view could have made the composition more interesting (sea around the rocks).
