Photographer’s Note
Ah, the weekend! Time to sit back, relax and enjoy the warm weather (it is still quite warm here in Israel) or just rest and listen to the sound of silence...
This one was taken in the Greek Island of Kos - a most magnificent island, where almost everybody can enjoy his favorite activity - there's sailing, antiques, a beautiful old city, a nice little hot spring, friendly bars and cafés, terrific Greek tavern and, of course, the beaches... The water was already too cold for me, I could still enjoy the serenity and beauty of the beach...
More about the Island and my stay there in my next comment....
Just sharpened.

I'll take the chair on the left Liora and we can have a nice chat...;-)
Obviously there is nothing you can do about the distant haze but the foreground colors and details are very nice. I might have opted for a landscape orientation to eliminate some of that rather dull sky, though perhaps the beach scene to the right was not inviting either. It is nice to see you on the board and to know that you had your holiday. I hope it was refreshing for you. I continue my quasi sabbatical from TE, though I drop in occasionally. Perhaps our paths will cross again. I would like that.

Hi Liora, I like this kind of composition it's a superb invitation ! Mattresses look a bit bright but colors & sharpness are nice.

Hey...seems you had a nice time -despite the sstrong wind - in Kos Liora. i love the contrast between the blue and yellow colors in this composition which is very representative of the place!
P.S: The state is Dodecanese :-)

Hi Liora, looks like you get around quite a bit lately :-) Beautiful and inviting-looking scene from the Greek beach, with the funky-colored mattresses and umbrella making a good foreground interest for the view across the sea. Good timing to have the sailboat in the back positioned just where it ought to be. Well done.

Very nice and relaxing scene but you must change the Macedonia>Agion Oros. As Aegean mentioned, the state is Dodecanese :)

Nice mood here Liora, in my second favourite country - the chairs look sooo inviting. (but I think I'd have to turn them around). I like the white echoed through the shot in the buildings, the waves, the boat and the chairs.

Hi Liora, very inviting, these realing chairs in front of such a lovely, though rather rough sea. I actually am in for a vacation, to take a rest from my trip ;-)
very well composed, pleasant, strong colours form a nice contrast with the background.

This could be a bit sharper. But I find it a very stirking, and for some reason, amusing shot. Good colours and arrangement in the frame.

Despite a terrible business I couldn’t pass by the thumbnail which I recognised from the first glance and which recalled my still fresh and sweet memory on the last decade of June spent there, maybe on the very same chairs! (So this is exceptionally in a personal note.)
I remember and understand how umbrella is put against the wild wind (it is visible on the poisonous waves), I also understand a slight blur even after sharpening - the wind on Kos is so strong that you sometimes can’t stand it still. The colors are true, I can testify it, and really appealing. The white houses on the opposite coast belong to the Turkish town Bodrum and they use to be blurred even with a tripod, I can prove it, because of distance (the shortest is 4 km, this is about 5-7 km). This is somewhere near Lampi, right? I’ve already posted 3 pics from my holidays on Kos, but still no one from the beach, so thank you, Liora. If you agree, we might create a photo-dialogue or photo-pingpong on Kos.
Well, sometimes it’s really better not to speculate too much and point-and-shot and post... In this sense well done.

Very inviting this photo. I like the contrast of colours, the yellow and the blue who get married to the sea. A small suggestion however, a little less sky would indeed have been because already it is veiled by the mist.
Très invitante cette photo. J'aime le contraste des couleurs, le jaune et le bleu qui se marient avec la mer. Une petite suggestion cependant, un peu moins de ciel aurait été bien puisque déjà il est voilé par la brume.
