Photographer’s Note
I'm posting this here, first, because it's a rare thing for me to make such a photos, and second, to demonstrate to the world that actually there are still some theaters which performs classical operas in classic outfits.
It seems that the word "modern opera" means - inevitably - that actors will be naked, or dressed as punks, or beggars, or I don't know how.
So Michailovsky Theater in St-Petersburg still don't know this nice trend of art, and singers sing being dressed like it was intended by Tchaikovsky when he wrote "Iolanta".

Hallo from Germany!
Wooow! A very intriguing photo with a beautiful light! I like how the actors in these sumptuous costumes here "disappaer" in the dark. In combination with your very personal note (I like it) a not everyday contribution here on TE.
Greetings from cool (2°C) and cloudy Westphalia!

Hello Uhu,
Well taken, you have the two central characters in good focus, showing off the costumes to the best, good colours and clarity.
Regards
Rob.
Hope you enjoyed the performance.

Hi Uhu
its a fantastic photo, well composed and sharp gives an idea how nice the show would be, I never been in opera only sometimes when watching tv and even not understanding the language I like to see it. rgds - JCarmo
