Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken on the Kish lake in the winter frosty day. Ķīšezers(Kish lake) is the biggest lake inside of Riga borders,located on north-east of Riga. Ķīšezers is popular resort for walking, camping, boating, fishing and sometimes even swimming. In the winter lake is usually covered by ice.

Une photo simple mais que j'aime beaucoup, digne d'un grand photographe. Ça me rappelle le temps où j'avais ma chambre noire et que je faisais du N\B, dans le temps mon photographe préféré était Anselm Adams. Beau contraste en passant du blanc au noir par tous les tons de gris et excellente composition.

Hello Oleg,

I do prefer the other shot I just commented on, since here the balance between photograph and frame is a bit off. I know you use this kind of framing more often, but here there are quite some whites in the shot and to me the frame interferes too much with that.
