Photographer’s Note
Here's a proud member of Hans Majestet Kongens Garde (HMKG), the guard of the Norwegian king. The HMKG is employed for guarding the royal residences (Slottet and Skaugum gård) and Akerhus festning, as well as its own quarter (Huseby). This photo was taken at Akershus festning (Akerhus fortress), one of the most significant fortress in the Norwegian history. It’s not clear to me if these well dressed guys are there for the show or have a real police role; likely both, but they probably don’t have to intervene very often.
