Since in Sankt Gallen the day was very foggy, we decided to look for the sunlight. The only solution was driving higher and higher and hope to reach the top-end of the mist-screeen. In Appenzell finally the blue sky was reached but before, had the opportunity to shoot some interesting and appealing sceneries, like this lonely frozen tree and the grass covered with rime and sorrounded by the last stratus of mist.
Taken just 1 km before Appenzell town.

Szép és ízléses kép! Tetszik, ahogy a színek hidegen és halványan átjönnek a ködön keresztül. A zúzmarás fa bónusza a képnek, de a fagyott dombok is szépen, puhán hullámzanak. Nem találkoztál véletlenül a mi PixelTerror barátunkkal? ;)

Greetings Atus.
A very pleasing winter image. I like the pale light and pale colours, with everything covered in frost or shrouded by mist. But surely the sun is tryng to come through on to that beautiful tree. The fence, the road, the buildings, they make the lines and angles for this picture. Very nicely done.

Hello Attila,

You captured so mystical and extraordinary photo due to weather conditions. The light is amazing in your well taken photo but frozen tree and the grass covered with rime creates juts speechless textures. Wonderful, congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Hi, Attila -

Taking pictures of fog and mist is a lot harder than it seems. This shot does present an interesting capture of the mist in the distance, combined with a strange half-light in the fg; good effect. I also like the rimed tree and the splash of color from the buildings in the center.

I live now 10 kms away from Appenzell in Teufen, the first village you drove through on the way from SG to AI !
A nice image that shows this rural area hilly terrain with winter frost, snow falled just the day after.

Magnificent composition. The pastel colors and the beautiful farm house with the lonely tree and the foggy environment creates a magnificent winter image. The frozen grass is well seen. Very good POV.

Hallo Attila!
Your photo has an incredible - somehow mysterious - atmosphere. It really gives the impression of winter and of cold. All these shades of grey and the lack of all screaming colours here create a really worth-seeing photo - and again a not everyday one. One of the best winter photos I've seen so far.

Its a different and interesting shot from you Attila, that lonely frozen tree is the nice subject beside the curious houses on bg, but i think (my taste) maybe better crop out abit the left side and focus on the houses. I did a simple ws, a dedicated shot for you, not a better one but maybe just a different way to enjoy your picture, i hope you dont mind. Thanks :-)

hai cercato un posto da favola e l'hai trovato! La brina sull'erba e sull'albero donano una particolare suggestività a questa stupenda immagine, trasformando piacevolmente le tonalità di colore. Veramente una foto di rara bellezza, bravissimo!

E' ora di commentare e complmentarsi per questa bella foto Attila, veramente bella e piena della atmosfera invernale che mi piace tanto, stando al caldo pero' :) L'albero con i fiocchi di ghiacco e' meraviglioso, molto ben fatto.

Hú, de jó színek! Nagyon tetszik ez a hideg zöldeskék téli divat, amit remekül kiemel a majorság sárga fala. Kecses az oldalfényben tündöklő deres fa, ahogy a környezetét elnézem, élőben nem kifejezetten költői (mármint az illatok miatt). Hangulatos, szép kép!
