Photographer’s Note

A village house in Alaçam village that was built by classical western Turkish architecture.

Alaçam is a little village about 25 km far from Bursa citycenter. Its altitude is about 1000 meters and it often snows in winter. Thus lost of people come here and have fun with snow. Today in Bursa citycenter it was a sunny and dry (without snow) day but when we arrived here, it was about 60 cm snow!

The village was founded in 1878, after Ottoman - Russian war. The people who their country was occupied by Russians came here (about 1500 km far from their mother country, Artvin) and founded this beautiful village.
